The Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) is a partnership of the Federal and Provincial governments to provide opportunities for employers to invest in their workforce.
Available to small, medium and large businesses, the grant offers financial support for employers to deliver short-term training to both new and existing employees. Skills training is intended for employed individuals acquiring new skills for their current job or to prepare for another job with the same employer, or for newly hired employees.
The grant will:
- Provide up to $10,000 in government support per person for training costs
- Employers with less than 100 employees must contribute one-sixth of total costs with additional flexibility for small business to provide an in-kind contribution towards their share of the costs
- Training must be delivered by an eligible, third-party trainer
