Job Type: Full-time

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year residential or commercial construction experience and access to reliable transportation. MUST be certified in Workers Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, WHMIS, Working at Heights, Swing Stage, and Aerial Workplace Platforms & Geni Lift Boom.

The ideal candidates will be capable of working independently as well as under direction. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with all construction industry health & safety standards and procedures to ensure project security. We offer a consistent, full-time work schedule and competitive pay. Wage is negotiable based on ability and experience. Our construction sites are located all across downtown Toronto, GTA and
throughout Ontario.

This position is responsible for assisting the company with the completion of air and water vapour barrier membrane application to commercial and residential buildings.

Duties and Abilities include (but are not limited to):

 Attending construction sites as required
 Assisting Installers by priming or caulking areas for application
 Cutting waterproofing membranes for application to exterior surfaces
 Installation of crack suppression (anti-fracture) membranes
 Clean-up of work areas after completion of work day and locking up tools & materials in site safety box
 Assisting in delivering and distributing small amounts of materials and supplies to job sites
 Carrying and lifting materials to various areas on job site
 Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
 Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle or telescopic boom
 Comfort with working at heights and in high-stress environment within extreme weather fluctuations
 Ability to work well within a team environment
 Health & Safety knowledge and aptitude
 Good communication skills and capable of taking direction and working independently without supervision

Requirements:

 An excellent attitude and willingness to learn
 Demonstrated ability to work quickly, cleanly, and produce an excellent level of workmanship
 Must have own vehicle to get to various job sites
 MUST HAVE WORKING AT HEIGHTS, WHIMIS, 4 STEPS TO CONSTRUCTION SAFETY, AREIAL WORKPLACE PLATFORMS AND SWING STAGE
 MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED CERTIFICATES or willing to get them - we have a local training provider that we can refer at a discounted rate.

 PPE equipment (hi-vis vest, safety shoes, hard hat, harness, lanyard)
 Basic tools, cutting knife, hammer, markers, measuring tape, trowels etc.
 Ability to lift 50 lbs
 Excellent vision and strong attention to detail
 High school diploma/GED preferred
 1+ years’ construction industry experience preferred
 High school diploma/GED preferred
