Upgrading Classes
Many workers have had little opportunity to
improve their communication skills of reading and writing in the
workplace. Any one of us that does not use these skills regularly may
need to upgrade them. This is even more true for workers seeking
employment: resumes and cover letters need to be written; the internet
and newspapers have to be searched; and job interviews need to be
prepared for. LEC offers free upgrading classes that help workers to
upgrade these essential skills -- not only for job searching, but to
participate more actively in the communities where we live.
Currently, the Labour Education Centre is
running upgrading classes at
15 Gervais Drive,
Toronto, on a continuing intake basis.
