The Labour Education Centre has a long history as an educational centre for working-class people, building solidarity as it tries to address issues of equity such as class, gender and race in a global economy.

LEC strategically focuses its efforts on the root causes of unemployment or underemployment, the gap between rich and poor, the erosion of workers' rights and power, and the gutting of essential public services.

This framework is informed by an understanding of power relations and seen from an anti-oppression perspective.

Our goal is to build a powerful labour movement, strengthening unions and communities with a social and economic justice agenda.
