Three of our learners, Liliana Ospina, Juana Lopez and Yisalva Martinez, have been accepted in the Peer Health Ambassadors training program for the next six months.
Flemingdon Health Centre had developed the Peer Health Ambassadors Project to build community capacity for health promotion by training 75 community members over the course of 2 years. Community members will be trained as health ambassadors in various skills related to community engagement, peer education and health promotion.
We are proud to note that our learners will now act as ambassadors to establish connections with community members through outreach activities, plan program delivery and facilitate one or more of the health programs
