Alpha Plus computer training for LEC LBS class!

AlphaPlus staffperson Monika Jankowska-Pacyna helping LEC's learners to access our class wiki where our class materials and quizzes are posted daily.

Our  thanks go out to Monika Jankowska-Pacyna from the Alpha Plus organization.

For the last few months learners in LEC’s in-house and caregiver Literacy and Basic Skills classes participated in a special enhanced computer training project in “digital literacy” with the Alpha Plus literacy support organization.

Participants  learned to use online social media tools like Facebook.   The class even setup their own Facebook page!  A class wiki was created for class materials and quizzes.   They learned about e-mail etiquette, how to “safely” remove a USB stick from a computer, how to share documents using online services like Google Docs,  how to make better use of search engines and online mapping tools like Google Maps.

For further information on digital literacy you can visit the Alpha Plus website.
